Katherine Jenkins, N-Dubz, Faryl Smith, Peter Andre and err Chantelle Houghton all arrived ahead of the ceremony where Take That were honoured with a coveted Silver Clef Award to recognise their 18-year chart career.

Other awards included the Digital Award, which went to N-Dubz, the Newcomer Award, which went to a very happy La Roux and the Classical Award, which was taken home by Faryl Smith.

The former nurse has tried to keep a low profile following Jackson’s untimely death last week but as rumours claiming she’s not the biological mother of their children continue to intensify she decided the time has come to speak out.

Rowe allegedly told a local reporter, “They are my flesh and blood. I’m going after my children. I am stepping up, I have to”

However, her lawyer Eric George said:

“Though Debbie herself has not spoken publicly about the custody proceedings since Michael's death, I came to learn this morning that she shared some of her thoughts late last night with a local reporter.

“I have no reason to doubt that what was reported from that conversation was accurately and ethically reported. But that said, it would be a distortion of the truth to allow that single snapshot from a single conversation to stand in the truth of Debbie's position on these sensitive matters.

“So once again, the truth is that Debbie has not reached a final decision concerning the pending custody proceedings.”

A custody hearing set for Monday has now been postponed until July 13.

Kris then joined in and said Freddie was just ‘playing the victim’ and told Lisa not to talk to him.

But who can blame them, the happy couple have got a lot to celebrate, not only has Cheryl turned the ripe old age of 26 this week but she’s also been told that Simon Cowell is on the brink of signing a deal to take the X Factor to the US and he wants Cheryl to be the star of the show!

Apparently the big bosses from NBC are flying to Manchester this weekend to watch Cheryl in action during the live auditions and if everything goes to plan she’ll end up hosting the new US version of the hit show.

Simon Cowell is already tied into a deal with American Idol on the Fox network that prevents him from hosting it himself and…

“He thinks she has amazing presence and her down-to-earth Northern charm will appeal to the American public. She is also an incredibly beautiful girl.

“She won’t get paid anything like the million pound salary she’s on here, because obviously she is not as well known in the States. But if it is a success, like most of Simon’s shows are, it could catapult her into the big league.”

Wow, that sounds very exciting for Cheryl but what does it mean for Girls Aloud? Remember them?

East Side Ink owner Yadira said, “She came by to hang out with us and her regular tattoo artist Bang Bang. He decided he wanted to get a tattoo from her and then two of the other artists decided they wanted to get one as well. She tattooed us for a change.”

And that right there is the problem! Apparently it’s against the law to administer a tattoo to anybody unless you hold a valid license and now Rihanna and the tattoo parlour could face fines for the misdemeanour offences.

A spokesman for the city confirmed, “Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code. We are sending someone down to follow up on this.”

So anyway, during the interview the hot topic was of course Peter’s recent split from Katie Price and when Chris Moyles asked whether there was a chance they’d get back together he was met with a firm “no way” and “what’s done is done.”

Peter then went on to say:

“I know my kids are probably listening, I wouldn't want to say anything negative about mama. I'll be honest. It's been the worst two or three months of my life. Then again you've just got to get on with it really.

“I've obviously never mentioned the reasons, but it's not just a reason, you don't just go with one reason, there's a number of things.”

Chris then asked whether he was on the look out for a new woman to which Peter replied:

“I don't think that there is even one little bit in my head that can think of someone else to be honest. My head's not even gone there yet, not even near it.”
